Planned Giving
Planned giving is a way for a person to make an especially meaningful gift to a charitable non-profit organization. For example, a bequest is one type of planned gift. If you are uncertain which of your assets you will need during your lifetime, then planned giving may appeal to you.
In 1986 the Natural Heritage Land Trust received its first planned gift. Dr. Alice Watts left 115 acres to the Land Trust in her will. The proceeds from the sale of the property (permanently protected by the conservation easement) were used to conserve cherished local lands. Dr. Watts' bequest made a big difference to Land Trust.
By making a planned gift to the Land Trust, you will play a vital role in preserving the mosaic of local landscapes for the ages.
